Expo Mom Davao Now On Its 4th Year

One national event dedicated to moms that has been doing the rounds of major cities in the country is Expo Mom. Organized by Mommy Mundo, this yearly #TeamMom activity began in 2007 in Metro Manila and has since gone on a nationwide roadshow in other parts of the Philippines including Davao City. The Expo Mom Davao is now celebrating its fourth year.

I was fortunate to have attended the recent Expo Mom Davao with fellow blogger Olivia Cena-Limos. The Davao leg was held at Abreeza Mall and showcased lots of creative, kid-friendly and eco-friendly products. A program was also held featuring Dabawenya moms who shared about their personal experiences and friendships with other moms, a radio DJ and Dad from Manila who talked about fatherhood, a school administrator who revealed a unique education concept and kids who performed dance numbers. There were also workshops and games involving parents and their children.

During the program, I was all ears to what the male guest speaker (a dad himself and DJ of Moms Radio) had to say about parenting and maintaining a healthy marriage. He shared valuable insights that I'm sure struck the hearts of moms and dads present during that time. Being a dad, he said, proved to be very challenging for him yet he continued to do his best to be a good one to his kids. And when it comes to keeping the love alive with his wife, he stressed that having a regular date night is very important.

Meanwhile, the young moms shared their tips on managing life with small kids and maintaining their friendship despite their hectic lifestyle juggling several tasks and roles.

It was also great to see so many unique and creative products for babies and kids at the event venue. Mommy Mundo members who have small businesses had an opportunity to set up their booths there to showcase their products to attendees.
