Rophe's: Your New Buffet Destination

Buffets are so in today. They're everywhere and they've been attracting countless foodies who can't get enough of their favorite food in just one order.

Here in the city, there are already several existing well-known local buffet restaurants. And there's one more you can add to your list - Rophe's Chicken.

Rophe's Chicken Restaurant at Km. 5, Buhangin

Established in 2012, Rophe's originally offered an a la carte menu while still at its first location along Tionko Street. However, the owner Ralph Cambronero decided to serve buffet lunch and dinner instead when Rophe's opened at its new location along Kilometer 5 highway in Buhangin.

The restaurant is open for lunch and dinner with buffet at Php349 per person. This already includes bottomless iced tea. Some of the dishes they serve are pork estofado, the classic and delicious Rophe's roasted chicken, pasta (creamy sauce/mama rosi sauce), vegetable takoyaki, sushi rolls, grilled pandawan in lemon basil and shrimp lemon butter with honey. For dessert, they have buko pandan, tapioca, mango cream and fresh fruits among others. The Davao Bloggers Society was recently invited for lunch and we got to savor these dishes together with the owner.

Rophe's Chicken reopened a few months back and is still being improved to cater to the needs of its customers. I've been to its original site in Tionko several times two years ago and I must admit that I really love their food.

In terms of ambiance, I love the new restaurant more. I especially like its interior design particularly the wooden features. Sir Rophe admitted, though, that their main dining area is limited to only 30 people at the moment but he added they're finding a way to add more space for walk-in diners. Three function rooms are also available for bigger gatherings.

Rophe's is also offering catering services not only within the restaurant premises but in other locations as well.
