Budget-Friendly Asian-Brand Shops Worth Visiting This Holiday Season

Have you started shopping for Christmas gifts? If not or if you still need to buy more presents, there are several new budget-friendly shops in the city that you should visit. They are Asian-brand shops located at the malls and offer a wide variety of items at very affordable prices. I've been to these places that's why I highly recommend them.

Do remember that when giving gifts this Christmas season, it's really the thought that counts and not the prices of the items you bought. So plan your shopping well so you won't go over your budget.

Miniso

Miniso is a popular Japanese brand  The shop located at the second floor of SM City Davao in Ecoland sells a wide variety of personal and household items at very affordable prices starting at Php99. Shoppers can also find there health and beauty products, school supplies and electronics.

I was able to visit Miniso a day after its opening and bought several items such as a pair of comfy slippers, a storage box, a set of hangers with clips on the end, face towels and socks.

Daiso

Daiso is another budget-friendly shop that sells Japanese brand items and is older than the others. Located at the second floor of Abreeza Mall inside Robinson's Department store, this store also offers a large collection of products from houseware, cleaning products, toiletries and school supplies to beauty and other personal items. Some food can also be found there. Prices start at Php88 only.

Known as the "Japanese dollar store," Daiso has 2,800 branches in Japan alone and 4,000 other stores around the world.

Tokutokuya

Tokutokuya is a new shop selling Japanese brand items. It is located at the fourth floor of Gaisano Mall and boasts of affordable personal and household items including Japanese snacks and drinks.

If Daiso is the Japanese dollar store, Tokutokuya is known as the $2 dollar store or the 100 Yen shop.

Mumuso

Mumuso is a Korean-inspired shop that supplies Chinese brand items. It is most popular for its K-beauty products that are easy on the pocket to include make-up, toners, lotion, face masks and serum. Here in Davao, the shop is situated at the ground level of Abreeza Mall. Items are priced starting at Php99.

Free Life

Free Life at the third floor of Gaisano Mall also sells personal, beauty and household products. This Chinese brand shop also has a rewards program which I was able to avail of during its first week after opening. The rewards card gives a user certain discounts when buying items sold at regular prices.

So there. You still have time to do your Christmas shopping so make sure to check out these shops this weekend or any day when you get the chance. And here's a tip when buying gifts: choose items that can be used on a daily basis so that every time that person who got the gift uses the product, he or she will somehow remember you. Happy shopping!!
