One NCCC. This is the new tagline of the LTS Retail Specialists Inc., the new mother company of several NCCC-affiliated brands merged together as one late last year. These brands are the NCCC Supermarket, Choice Mart, HB1, Bread Factory, CitiFoods and Munchies.
Consultant Bobby Mabanta told local media in a recent press conference that with the merger, they are able to become more efficient. "We get more leverage from our business partners for merchandising and marketing plus all the stores will benefit from the best practices of our operations." The move, he added, is also aimed at providing their customers the best shopping experiences while in their stores.
NCCC Group of Companies CEO Lafayette Lim, for his part, revealed their present campaign of buying directly with farmers for their agricultural supplies. This is in support of the Department of Agriculture's advocacy to help farmers have direct access to supermarkets. Lim said they are now sourcing agricultural products mostly vegetables and fruits from farmers in Bukidnon and Calinan.
LTS Retail Specialists Vice President Teresito Canda also said they are hoping to tap more farmers in Davao in the near future through their Merchandising Department - Fresh Category. He said this partnership with the local farmers is an effective way of improving farming practices, boosting their production levels and ensuring better quality crops. "We are committed to this program for sustainable development."
NCCC is a homegrown company that has achieved great success in the retail industry. From only one store in Uyanguren, it has since expanded to several branches here in Davao City as well as in Tagum and in Palawan. The LTS Retail Specialists Inc. has also plans of putting up more NCCC branches in the major cities of Mindanao in the near future. In fact, another branch in Buhangin is now being constructed and is scheduled to open to the public in 2018.
Also present during the presscon were consultant Tjader Regis and corporate lawyer Atty. Darry Gallego.
