AlaskaMazing Mom 2016 Launched in Davao City

Moms are indeed amazing women because they can multi-task and take on a variety of roles. Dabawenyas are no different the reason why they were treated by Alaska  Milk Corporation to fun activities and a search for AlaskaMazing Moms at People's Park this weekend.

Now on its 13th year, this project for moms aims to promote health and a sense of community among families across the Philippines. Originally a pageant-focused program, AlaskaMazing Moms now puts emphasis on the different skills of mothers and encourages the participation of the entire family in its activities.

Saturday's event began with a zumba for the whole family followed by a community breakfast, cooking competition with  the AlaskaMazing Moms participants and then the pageant program. Ailene Caracol emerged as the top winner while Meriam Perez was first runner-up and Conchita Camporedondo as 2nd runner-up. The Alaska representatives from Manila comprised the panel of judges.

Alaska Marketing Manager Wina Pineda was overwhelmed with the high spirits showed by Dabawenyos during the community events. In a presscon after the program, she revealed that Davao was their first choice in launching this year's project due to the popularity of the city and its strong economic performance. From here, the AlaskaMazing Mom project will visit 29 more cities in the coming weeks and months.

Health-wise, Pineda stressed Alaska is the only milk right now that contains 20 essential nutrients whether in their powdered or liquid milk products. And unlike other brands, they do away with using too much sugar (which I agree being a loyal Alaska user). She added the company continues to improve its products and produce new ones that would benefit both kids and adults as well as moms particularly in their meal preparations. With this commitment, it only shows that "Wala pa ring tatalo sa Alaska!"
